Run #1093
The wettest run in Long Beach history was set by Pillsbury Blow Boy and
Virgin hare Leaning Hard in Brea. The rain was of biblical proportions.
Fruit was heard saying "I haven't seen rain like this in 115
years!"
Rainfall in Brea from 10am to noon----prime LBH3 hash time - totaled 17
inches. It was a real challenge trying to find flour in the downpour.
We
encountered running streams that sucked our shoes off and "puddles"
of
water that were knee deep. The cops, assisted down down's by closing
the
road to traffic. We all made merry under a tarp provided by Mr Rat's
Ass.
LBH3 had 6 BEST TRAIL nominations for the year of 2004.
#1041 Hozer, SID, V8, See
more Buns - Griffith Park
#1077 Crack, Cum Nail Me - Whittier
#1083 Pig Iron,
Off Sin D Bare Palos Verdes
#1087 Poor Aim, Take a #--Beatty
#1089 4H, Faggety
Andy - Fullerton
#1090 Sin D Bare - Palos Verdes. There was a tie---#1083
and #1089.
Both were great runs. #1083 set in Palos Verdes took us on steep
trails, hills, beach, brush - very scenic. We had summer-like weather that day.
#1089 we ran in Fullerton on the horse trails, around a lake through
neighborhoods. This was Fruit of the Loom's 1000th run.
2005 marks the first time in LBH3 history that the Hash was held on Christmas day. There have been two other occasions the 25th fell on a hash Sunday. In 1988 the board headed by GM's Async and Alouette decided the hash would be changed to Dec 26th.
